Day 1-3: Get Your Bearings

Step 1: Plant Your Starter Seeds

You begin with basic seeds. Plant them in the plots outside your starting area in Loftia City.

• Water them immediately after planting
• They’ll be ready in a few minutes
• Harvest and replant to build your early economy

Step 2: Meet the Residents

Loftia City has several residents. Find them:

1. Herb — In the farming district
2. Linda — At the cafe
3. Kassim — At the market
4. Mita — In the library
5. Milo — In the workshop area

Talk to each of them every day. Even a simple conversation builds friendship points.

Step 3: Build Your Workbench

Gather resources from around Loftia City. Build the Workbench in your starting area. This unlocks basic tool crafting.

Craft immediately:

• Stone Hoe

Visit a crafting station with basic materials. Upgrade your watering can to water multiple tiles at once — a massive time saver.

Start the Main Questline

Speak to characters in Loftia City. The first quest in the main storyline will guide you through your introduction to the world.

Expand Your Farm

Clear the debris from the plots next to your starting area.

Week 2-3: Explore and Expand

Unlock New Areas

Progress through quests to unlock access to Gridfall and The Hanging Gardens.

Focus on one character. Give them a liked gift daily. At rank 3 they’ll share personal stories and offer unique quests.

Craft Your First Upgrades

Use crafting stations to improve your tools and create new items. Higher-tier tools unlock faster resource gathering.

Month 1+: The Sky Is the Limit

Explore All Locations

Gridfall offers technological wonders and rare components. The Hanging Gardens hold botanical secrets and exotic resources.

Master Skills

Level up your skills — Farming, Cooking, Crafting, Foraging, Fishing, Salvaging, Repairing, Research, and Community. Each skill unlocks new abilities and recipes.

Build a Neighborhood

At high friendship levels, unlock the Neighborhood system. Invite friends to build communal spaces, share resources, and unlock group activities.

Take your time. Read every dialogue. Decorate your home. There is no wrong way to play Loftia.

For Speed Runners

Prioritise tool upgrades and efficient crops. Unlock Gridfall and The Hanging Gardens as soon as possible for rare resources.

Gift items to everyone. Focus one character at a time. Mark birthdays on your calendar.

For Explorers

Unlock new areas as quickly as possible — each location has unique resources and characters.

How do I upgrade my tools?
